IBM Manage Access Help

This page allows you to select the role (user or secondary contact) and access level for a user.

Please note that functions listed below may not be available to all customers.

Select function access privileges
Use the radio buttons to grant access to each of the following functions.

Software download & media access/Purchase and renewal

  • Software download, media access, quotes, product catalogs, license renewals -- grants access to all ordering, download functionality and eNotifications. It allows users to browse and buy from the product catalogs and quotes, purchase Software Subscription and Support Renewals, download entitled software, order media (e.g. CDs) & set up eNotification preferences.
  • Software download and media access -- grants access to eNotifications, download and request media for entitled software upgrades.
  • Software download only-- grants access to download entitled software and access eNotifications.
  • None -- restricts access to all ordering, download and eNotifications functionality.

Reporting

  • View -- grants access to query reports for active entitlements, order history, migration history, and download history.
  • None -- restricts access to the report queries.

Entitlements
Entitlement allocations

  • Update -- grants access to allocate those license entitlements that have been purchased centrally to other related Passport Advantage site locations.
  • View -- grants access to view the current entitlement allocation settings.
  • None -- restricts access to this functionality.

Account management
Contact updates

  • Update -- grant access to submit contact information changes to IBM.
  • View -- grant access to view but not change the contact information IBM has on record for your site.
  • None -- restricts access to this functionality.

Account-related documents

  • View -- grant access to view the current Proof of entitlement certificates.
  • None -- restricts access to this functionality.

When you have completed making your selections, please select the "Grant access" link. The settings for this user will then appear in the summary list of existing users.
